Damaged Roadways, Fixing the Problem
The process for deciding whether or not to completely replace or repair a cement roadway in a commercial and industrial space or residential area is the same for driveways. Understanding the geological status of the ground beneath the concrete surface in addition to traffic and environmental studies often leads to an action plan. Areas that see high volume traffic such as commercial and industrial complexes, condo communities and neighborhoods have greater occurrence of damage.
Concrete repair and replacement can be examined for a variety of purposes including safety, traction and estimated future use. If a long road or wide road is shifting or cracking at a quickened rate, repair may not be the solution and may warrant replacement. Your paving contractor will work with your business, Home Owners Association or nonprofit organization to help select between cement repair or replacement project.
